I’ve won over £3,000,000 worth of business by learning the skill of networking, and a lot of that business has come down to me having practiced and delivered the perfect elevator pitch. So if you’re networking, you’ll know that when you attend an event you get an opportunity to deliver either a 40 or maybe 60 second elevator pitch to the room, but most people find it difficult to write it and find it even more difficult to deliver it.
So, when you attend one of my events I make it absolutely easy for everybody to deliver the perfect elevator pitch. Why? Because number one, I give them my elevator pitch, and number two, I give them a template that puts across all the points that they need to get in to an elevator pitch. What I’m going to do for you is I’m going to share all them points, so you’ve got all the information that you need to write the perfect elevator pitch.
Now, an elevator pitch is supposed to be practiced, memorised and delivered in one go, but don’t give up on your opportunity to capture the imagination of all the people at that event. What I’d much rather you do is stand up with it scripted and read it word for word, from right in front of you. It’s more important that you get the information across than worrying about feeling silly or daft reading it word for word. You don’t look silly and daft. That’s exactly how I started it off. And if you want to win £3,000,000 worth of business, master your elevator pitch!
