It’s so important that we get our days off to a positive start, which is why it’s critical we have a morning routine.

My morning routine starts at 5 AM every morning. Listen, I don’t need an alarm clock to get me up, my why, my purpose, my desire, my motivation to succeed gets me out of bed. As soon as I get out of bed, I’ve got a gratitude journal on my bedside cabinet, I write down 10 things that I’m most grateful for that day. And I’m shooting them positive vibes into that universe, telling it what I’m grateful for.
I then go downstairs, have a glass of water. I sit at my dining room table, where I listen to an App for 10 minutes called headspace.com. It’s light meditation that cleanses my mind of any negativity. I then go out on a 20 minute walk with my dog Rocco every morning at 20 past 5, but whilst I’m out exercising I’m leveraging my time by listening to podcasts, YouTube, Audible, audio books, by educational, and motivational people. So I’m filling my mindset first thing in the morning with positive knowledge.
I then get home, I get ready to go to the commute in the office. But whilst I’m driving to the office I’m not listening to no radio, negativity, I’m listening to my podcasts, to Spotify, to Audible for 25 minutes on the way to my office. So, when I get to my office at 7 AM in the morning, boom, I am ready to take the day down.
I want you to think about how you can create a morning routine that works around your interests and what you do. Even if it’s just a walk in the morning, getting up an extra 5 minutes early a day, listening to podcasts on the way to work, in the car. Anything to create a routine that sets up your day positively.
