Customer service, I’m telling you right now that your customers and clients are no longer looking at the customer service that they get from you, or even your competitors. Why? Because when you’ve got the likes of Apple and Argos that are blowing customer service out of the water, that is what your customers and clients are now comparing you to.
Listen, I can go into the Apple store and I love Apple, and they make me feel great, they make me feel valued. I buy a new laptop, or I buy a new phone and I get home and I open that white packaging and I take that lid off, and its pristine inside. They make me feel a million dollars. They make me feel great, and they make me feel emotional to want to come back and buy from them.
Likewise, Argos have just taken things to another level. Why? Because you can get same day delivery from Argos. Same day. I ordered a brand-new HD 4K television at 10 O’clock on Sunday morning. I paid £3 for delivery, at 3:10 PM on Sunday, my doorbell rang and there’s an Argos guy stood there with my brand new tele. By 3:30 I was watching football on my brand new tele. That is customer service.
